Patricia Everaert and Evelien Opdecam presented their research in Cardiff

The paper with the title “The One-Minute Paper: Exploring the benefits from the student’s perspective” was presented at the Accounting Education SIG Conference of the British Accounting and Finance Association (Cardiff, 3-5 May, 2017).  Prof. dr. Vijay Lee (Head of Department of Accounting and Finance) from London South Bank University was the discussant.  The paper explores why the OMP is perceived as a beneficial learning technique by students and explains the results from a Goal Setting Theory perspective.  Different variants and high tech alternatives are discussed to engage students during lectures in large units.
