The Innoversity Challenge at Ghent University started on 27 October 2015 and proceeds in several stages. Out of 544 ideas for changing the future of education in a digital way, the project submitted by Jeroen Neckebrouck, Evelien Opdecam and Elke Minnaert has been selected for the shortlist of 10 projects by a team of education experts.
Together with 19 other teams they received professional coaching to help form and pitch their idea: “We want to develop a mobile game where students can ask each other interesting questions about the subject material. Our game enhances the engagement of students without placing an extra burden on the teaching staff. Also, everyone gets feedback on their learning process in a pleasant way.”
Jeroen, Evelien and Elke convinced the jury and the Rector and got a ticket for the final round on February 12th and 13th, 2016 at Het Pand. On March 3rd we will know which three to five best ideas will start as a pilot project during the next academic year.
